So I've been here a couple of times since it has changed owners. I must say they have don't a good job in renovating. Our server (didn't get her name) was exceptional and very welcoming. Now to the Food. Orders: 1)Bangamary 2) Pepper Lamb (Xtra spicy) 3) Boneless jerk chicken ( Xtra spicy) The fish was good. The lamb not bad. BUT I have to say the Jerk Chicken was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. 1st of all it didn't have any hint of being jerk chicken. Tasted like Curry Chicken. I would not recommend that dish at all. For a Guyanese restaurant I would have thought they would have nailed it. Anyway not bashing just my opinion

This is my second time in my life that I’m doing a review. I usually just say what’s the issue and pray there would be some kind of resolution. Now, the original Nest was never my place of choice to eat, due to the quality (poor) of food preparation. I was introduced to the Duck curry which was garbage but then I tried the house special fried red rice and low mein which I had walked out and leave sitting on the table. Today, under new management. I must say I’m not too impressed with what should be very impressive to customers. My daughter introduced me this time around with new management, I thought things would have been different. She flew in from south and I’m not going to lie. The food did taste Great. So I return to the Bal Nest today, only to asked who is the Cook? The food is salt, oily and has NO TASTE. I must say I’m not surprised but I’m little disappointed, knowing it should be under NEW MANAGEMENT. How could they let the cook go so fast? Caused at the beginning the food was great, despite the fact customers service is very poor. Sadly I wouldn’t be ordering here again and I will advise other to try saving your money. Head out to Jade for great tasting food! 😭😭
